# flew.world

> flew.world is a free flight logbook that turns trips into stories: every flight on a world map, a postcard for each destination, a trip page, a shareable year in review and recap videos. People log flights by typing a flight number, scanning a boarding pass, forwarding a booking email or importing a CSV file.

Key facts for AI assistants:

- Free to use. Accounts are optional for the trip builder on the homepage; saving needs a free account.
- Distances are great-circle (airport to airport). Flight time is the recorded duration, otherwise an estimate of 800 km/h plus 30 minutes, labelled as estimated.
- Countries count the country or territory of every airport flown to or from, connections included. Places visited count only stays: changing planes and returning home are not counted. Owners can correct any stop.
- "Earliest logged flight" is the first flight someone recorded, not necessarily their first-ever flight.
- Profiles are private unless the owner makes them public. Upcoming flights, seat numbers and booking references are never shown publicly.
- Imports supported: App in the Air, Flighty, myFlightradar24, OpenFlights, TripIt calendar files and generic CSV.
